Led by Danish Division Commander Major General Michael Lollesgaard with the support of Joint Force Command Brunssum Training Team under Colonel Michael Uhrig’s command, the joint force operations will involve the three Baltic states together with Denmark.
The Training Audience comprises brigade staffs from the 1st Estonian Infantry Brigade, 1st Latvian Landforces Brigade, the Lithuanian Iron Wolves Brigade, and 1st and 2nd Danish Brigades. During the exercise each unit will develop the operational plan and coordinate it with other units according to the NATO military planning and decision making process as well as standard operating procedures, reported the Joint Forces Command Brunssum Public Affairs Office and SARGS.lv.
JFC Brunssum’s engagement is part of a concerted NATO effort to increase cooperation and operational information sharing among Allied nations. This increased awareness and information sharing will enhance Alliance integration, interoperability and overall responsiveness to the challenges posed by the Ukraine crisis and the ever-changing security environment.
