After the welcoming ceremony the Ironhorse brigade rolled out its heavy armor Abrams tanks and Bradley vehicles for a show.
“We appreciate the support shown by our allies to demonstrate NATO presence in the region,” said Colonel Martins Liberts of the NBS.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for our Ironhorse soldiers – to arrive here and train together with Latvian and Norwegian soldiers. This is an opportunity to create a great professional team under passionate leadership,” said Colonel DiGiambatista. “Texas is a hot place, our tanks are desert-colored and we train in very dry conditions. Here we’ll get new skills and techniques from a completely different environment. What a great way to learn from our northern and eastern European friends.”
